Food Pairings
A fabulous wine for pairing with a variety of foods including grilled meats (less- fatty steaks similar to a New York Strip Steak), roast chicken, duck, most pork dishes and spaghetti and meatballs. Merlot goes great with vegetables including tomatoes (Caprese salad) and mushrooms (in a sauce or salad or alongside meat and potatoes) and try it with salads such as Caesar or antipasto salads. If you’re unsure of a red wine for a meal, Merlot is a safe choice.
