TASTING NOTES
Our 2018 red varietals suffered in color but not in taste from a colder autumn resulting in an earlier than normal harvest. Still that great taste we expect from our Boathouse Reds with flavors of blackberry and raspberry, characteristic of our Cabernet Franc and Merlot grapes. Nice lingering finish. Aged 14 months in French Oak barrels.
VINEYARD NOTES
The 2018 growing year was challenging for our red varietals resulting in a small tonnage and lighter color.

FOOD PAIRINGS
Our Northern Michigan red wines are not over powering and therefore wonderful for pairing with food. We tried it with a traditional cheese cake (no sauces) and it was delicious. You will also find it perfect with red meat (perfect with grilled steak pork), particularly smoked ribs.
